Job summary

Eataly Gelato is looking for enthusiastic, well-groomed and customer-focused Gelato Servers to join our team across six Bhatbhateni Superstore outlets in Kathmandu and Lalitpur: Naxal, Maharajgunj, Bouddha, Patan, Kalanki and Koteshwor. You will be the face of our premium brand, serving top-quality artisanal gelato and giving every guest a warm, memorable experience. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Operational & Service Excellence - Machine operation and precise serving: operate gelato display units and machinery to keep products at the ideal texture and temperature, and portion and serve fresh gelato with accuracy and presentation care. - Fresh cone baking: prepare and bake fresh waffle cones on-site every day. - Customer hospitality: greet every customer with a cheerful smile and soft-spoken, polite communication. - Product education: explain what authentic gelato is, describe flavor nuances, and tell customers how artisanal gelato differs from standard ice cream. Inventory Control & Digital Communication - Stock tracking: do routine daily counts of gelato pans, raw materials, paper cups, cones and counter supplies, and submit a detailed daily inventory log to the store supervisor. - Digital communication: use WhatsApp group chats for operational coordination, daily opening/closing updates and instant reporting. Quality, Hygiene & Presentation - Maintain top-tier personal grooming, uniform cleanliness and workstation sanitation in line with food safety guidelines. REQUIREMENTS - Education: minimum High School (+2 / Intermediate or equivalent). - Experience: 2 to 3 years in food service, hospitality, ice cream/gelato parlors or retail customer service. - Candidates living near Naxal, Maharajgunj, Bouddha, Patan, Kalanki or Koteshwor are strongly preferred. - Comfortable using a smartphone and WhatsApp for group chats and daily report submissions. - Smart, neat and professional appearance. - Warm, friendly, soft-spoken communication style. - High personal standards for food handling, cleanliness and orderliness.
